Ready Bait FAQ
Insulation is not necessary for a pump livewell system, as 5-8 gallons of new water circulates through every minute.
Pumping in and circulating 5-8 gallons of new water per minute, you do not need to worry about heat. If the bait can survive in the water below your dock, it does very well inside the Ready Bait tank.
Once you have set the pump to your desired length and have the system ready using our setup instructions page, you are ready to plug in. The system can be left on as long as you need, we recommend unplugging every once in a while when you perform a quick routine cleaning of the pump.
The pump is warrantied for 1 year and is the main part to inspect with routine cleaning. They are designed to perform in saltwater environments and come with both a hard filter and mesh outerlayer filter to block debris.
Any damage to the tank after receiving Ready Bait is not covered by warranty.
Ready Bait ships via UPS Ground, and takes between 3-5 days to deliver from placing an order.
Please note that holidays or peak shipping periods may add a few extra days to delivery time.
Return Policy
We stand behind the quality of our products. Because many of our items are marine-use and water-contact products, we have specific return requirements.
Eligible Returns
Returns are accepted only if the item meets all of the following conditions:
- Item is unused
- Item is in original condition
- All parts and components are unmodified
- Item is returned with all original accessories and hardware
- Return is requested within 30 days of receiving product.
To be eligible for return, Ready Bait products must also meet these requirements:
- Hoses must not be cut
- Pump must not have been submerged
- Tank must not have contained water
If any of the above conditions are not met, the item is considered used and is not eligible for return or refund.
Restocking Fee
All approved returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee, which will be deducted from the refund amount.
Return Shipping
- Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable
- We recommend using a trackable and insured shipping method
