How to Set Up Your Ready Bait Livewell

Thank you for purchasing the Ready Bait Livewell! Let's get started with your setup.

Watch the video below for a step-by-step visual guide to setting up your Ready Bait Livewell.

Setup Instructions:

  1. Gather Your Tools:

You will need a flat and Philips screwdriver and something to cut the hose with (hose cutter, box  cutter, or a sharp knife).

  1. Positioning the Ready Bait:

Place the Ready Bait on the edge of your dock, preferably near a power source. Do not plug it in  until the pump is submerged in the water.

  1. Connecting the Pump, Hose Assembly, and Filter Bag:

○ Place the pump inside the filter bag and tie a knot that’s easy to untie. You'll need to  remove the bag periodically for cleaning.

○ The included hose is 16.5 feet long. You may need to cut the hose based on the water  depth below your dock. The pump should be at least one foot below the surface at low  tide (for saltwater) and at least a foot off the bottom to avoid drawing in sediment and  debris. The deeper, the better.

  1. Adjusting the Hose Length:

○ Lower the pump into the water and hold it near where it will connect to the tank. ○ Mark the hose at the connection point and cut it at the marked spot.

○ Attach the fitting to the hose using the supplied hardware.

  1. Connecting the Hose to the Tank:

○ Use the quick-connect fitting to attach the hose to the tank.

○ Lower the pump into the water.

  1. Setting Up the Drain Line:

○ Cut the drain line to your desired length. It’s recommended to position the drain line  just above the water level at high tide.

  1. Final Steps:

○ Plug the system into a GFI outlet. Your Ready Bait Livewell is now ready to use!
